Sing Baby Sing
The Stylistics were formed in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia in 1968, The Stylistics were the first vocal ‘supergroup’ of the early 1970’s. Led by the charismatic and soaring falsetto voice of Russell Thompkins, Jr., The Stylistics struck gold repeatedly with the lush yet graceful productions of Thom Bell and the bittersweet lyrics of Linda Creed.
The Stylistics ruled the airwaves with their smooth sound from 1971 to 1976, with such classics as “Betcha’ By Golly Wow”, “You Make Me Feel Brand New”, “Break Up To Make Up” & “You Are Everything”.
‘Sing Baby Sing’ was formed as a tribute to The Stylistics and ‘The Sound of Philadelphia’ productions. We pay tribute to the great songs by the legendary writers and arrangers Thom Bell & Linda Creed, Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff, Norman Harris, Ronnie Baker & Bobby Martin.
Sing Baby Sing’s members have over two decades wealth of experience working as backing musicians and backing singers with many top UK record producers of the 80’s & 90’s plus touring with many of the celebrated artistes of that era.
